Who Am I?

I’m Madeline Massi Vance and I am madder than a “wet hen”. How did “We the People” allow America to get into the situations we are now in? Well, we were concentrating on our jobs, raising our family, nurturing the ill, serving in the church/synagogue/temple, helping our neighbors, taking care of our yards and gardens, attending PTA meetings, planning our vacations and etc. All the while, the socialists, fascists, communists and America haters dismantled our country one House Bill at a time, one college course at a time, all the while dumbing-down the elementary schools' history books. We must put early American History and its Wars back into the school books in full and complete detail.

I am a first generation American. My parents came over on the boat from two different countries to Ellis Island. They registered, followed all proper procedures and looked forward to getting their Naturalization Papers to become American Citizens. Our family faced rejection by the New Englanders for many years. However, we all survived, a bit scarred, but without incident.

I loved school and remember how I felt so proud to Pledge Allegiance to the Flag. I also loved to sing all the patriotic songs after learning of their history. This love for America is still strong in my heart today and I want to see America return to the Great Republic it was called to be through our Constitution..

My parents gave me a 25¢ weekly allowance and a ledger sheet to record every expenditure. When I married, my husband depended on me to run our household budget the same way. We never borrowed money nor went into debt. If I can control my spending, so can our government. Consequently, I’m running as a Conservative and I will not vote on any Bill that is not within our state’s budget.

I ran a small business for 32 years. Bills were always paid on time; I never borrowed money, nor filed for bankruptcy. Only two times in 2005 was I able to take a $50 weekly salary, which is a total of $100 for the year, which in turn cost me $200 in taxes at the end of the year. Now that’s our current government for you.

Yet, I have a very high credit rating with all three Credit Agencies and it’s going to stay that way. That is how I will also run my political Office. If I can do it, so can the federal government but they don’t because it’s called “Lust for Power”. Remember: “A great nation pays its bills and pays them on time.”

I Am a Survivor:

My immigrant parents were a bit fearful of their new country and I barely survived my teenage years. They both came from countries where woman had no value and therefore, protected me from the Girl Scouts, sport activities and basic education. I eventually overcame all those obstacles.

Even with all of the tragedies which have befallen me - loss of husband through illness very early on in our marriage, loss of two children through fatal injuries - I raised my surviving children and went on to earn a Master's Degree in my chosen field. I was later promoted to Administrative Assistant and wrote curriculum for two private schools.
